Camella Andrews
Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Major (retired) Camella Andrews graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School in St. Thomas Virgin Islands.  She joined the US Army and served on active duty for six (6) years.  She then joined the Kansas National Guard, where she served for two years. She left the military to complete her degree in Human Resource Management while working as a Manager for Famous footwear and Lane Bryant.

In 1998 she returned to the Kansas National Guard and was selected to attend Officer Candidate School (OCS). Upon completion of OCS, she was commissioned as a 2LT with the 169th Combat Sustainment Battalion in Olathe, Kansas.

She completed Officer Basic course at Ft Lee, Virginia and was then assigned to the 714th Maintenance Company in Topeka, KS as the Supply and Services Officer. She then applied for and was selected to serve as the G-4 Operations Officer with the 35th Infantry Division and deployed to Bosnia for nine (9) months. While in Bosnia, she worked as a liaison between the Bosnian Army and the Italian Marines, and she coordinated three-day camps for the Bosnian children whose parents did not survive the war. As a result, she was awarded the US Army Humanitarian award.

Upon returning from Bosnia she was assigned as the 714th Maintenance Company Commander and promoted to Captain.  While serving as the Commander she deployed with the unit to serve in Germany and upon returning she deployed some of her soldiers in support of Hurricane Katrina.

In 2006 she relocated to her hometown of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and worked as the Recruiting and Retention Manager for the Virgin Islands National Guard. That same year she was asked to deploy with the 786th CSB and deployed in October of 2006 to Taji, Iraq where she served as the Battalion S-4 Officer in charge of over twelve (12) millions of dollars of inventory until October 2007.

In 2008 she was assigned to the 177th AR Brigade as the Battalion S-4 Commander where she served until 2010 and then transferred to the 158th Infantry Brigade. In 2012 she was injured and was transferred to the Wounded Warrior Battalion at Ft Riley Kansas where she retired as a Major in March of 2015.

In February of 2015, she began volunteering with Catholic Charities Women Veterans Services as a Case Manager.  In 2016 she transitioned into the role Outreach Coordinator, working with women veterans in the community who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and helping them on their path to self-sufficiency.
